It been a busy past couple of days.  It started with an amazing meal at the Ebisu Westin hotel with Yukiyasu’s parents including Maezawa beef, the best style Kobe beef (the cows they feed beer and massage) so soft you didn’t need to chew.  After that it was off to Oimachi to hang out with my old college roomate Yuji.  Monday consisted of a trip to Kichijoji to meet up with Shin and his coworker for a few drinks and some good food.

After not sleeping for about 2 days I managed to stay up the entire day, meet up with some old friends from highschool drove around Tokyo, then walked around Daikanyama. Finally I ate and awesome meal cooked by Yukiyasu’s mom, however no pictures were taken.  An old Japanese friend from NYC showed up around 11 had a night cap then bed.  Not a bad first day at all…

After a 16 hour flight, and 8 hour layover in Bangkok, another 7 hour flight, a 2 hour train ride, and the a 20 minute cab ride I am finally in Japan.  Here are the first round of shots from the marathon trip (the cat on my laptop is not from the trip, but it was worth the post)
